Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Surabaya and settle into the road rhythm

Location:

Fly into Surabaya and meet the OTG crew — private transfer takes you toward the Sewu area for the night. It's a travel day, so settle in, grab dinner, and get to bed early. The trekking starts tomorrow morning.

Day 2: Trek into Sewu Waterfall

Location:

An early start into the jungle for a 1.5-hour trek to Sewu Waterfall, a multi-tiered, loud, and absolutely worth getting wet for. After the waterfall, freshen up at the hotel before an afternoon drive toward Ijen. Early night — you've got a 2am wake-up call coming.

Day 3: Ijen Crater Hike & Blue Flames

Location:

This is the one people come for. You'll start the hike in the dark and descend into the crater to see the electric-blue sulphuric flames , one of the rarest natural phenomena on earth. Stay for sunrise over the volcanic lake, then drive to the Bromo area to rest before tomorrow's pre-dawn start.

Day 4: Bromo Sunrise by Private Jeep & Fly Home

Location:

Pre-dawn 4x4 jeep ride to the Bromo viewpoint, crater rim walk across the Sea of Sand, then the classic Bromo sunrise backdrop. After brunch and a shower, transfer to Surabaya Airport. Short trip, high density, exactly how it should be.
