Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 2: Chengdu -> Jiami Peak Camp
Location: Chengdu
Depart Chengdu for the ~4-hour drive to Guza Town (Kangding), then change to a transfer vehicle at Xiasuozi Tunnel for the ~1.5-hour ride to the Jiami Peak Camp (~3,700m); ~5.5 hrs total. Settle into mountain cabins, then a light afternoon hike toward the Weifeng Line (~2 hrs, +100m) through pastures and forest.
Day 3: Sunrise Ridge -> back to Chengdu
Location:
05:00 climb the sunrise line (1-2 hrs one way) to the 4,400m ridge for sunrise: a 360-degree panorama of snow peaks and cloud sea. Back to camp around 08:00 for breakfast, then transfer back via the tunnel and drive to Chengdu, arriving ~19:00. Overnight Chengdu.
Day 4: Chengdu -> Fly Home
Location: Chengdu
Free morning in Chengdu, then transfer to the airport to fly home. (Buffer day for flights.)
